Fish Pills May Not Be Useful For Heart Patients

Reports from a recent International analysis has proved that patients who are already suffering from heart diseases will not be able to obtain any benefits from the omega-3 fatty acid pills.

These pills are prepared from the oil found in fish like tuna and salmon.Earlier, it used to be thought that the pills can be beneficiary in waving off heart attacks and strokes in people.

The research carried out covered over 14 studies and observed that the pills could not make any difference in the number of heart attacks and strokes or deaths of more than 20,000 people with heart disease.

The researchers from Korea carried out the study for almost five years and included reports from other countries including US, India, Italy, Germany and also from several countries in Europe.

People across the countries who were suffering from the heart diseases were supplemented with the pills, but a very small portion of people were termed to be benefitted, say about 14%.
